Any opportunity I get to meet my Blogger Buddies, I simply can’t resist it. I am practically like a kid jumping up and down, waiting anxiously for the desired day to dawn so I could garb myself into finest finery 😉 and get set to mingle 🙂
Such an opportunity was presented to us Karachi Bloggers by the Company Oriflame Sweden which is a Sweden based cosmetics and skin care company. Following are some of the highlights of the Bloggers Meetup.
Oriflame Bloggers Meetup
The meetup was held on 13th November 2016 at The Senator Hall, Marriot Hotel, Karachi. We received an e-invite, but unfortunately due to some unforeseen incident our physical invites could not reach us in time. Nevertheless, the Oriflame Cosmetics Sweden team was gracious enough to hand us the physical invites upon reaching the venue.

The hall was decorated beautifully with a beauty makeover station on one side and goody bags table on the other side. I could see professional photographers and videographers busy doing what they do best-taking pictures that is 🙂 Close to the entrance I could see an L shaped table laden with yummy snacks to be savored after the discussions.
Goody Bags for usI was warmly greeted by the Team Oriflame Cosmetics Sweden, namely Fahad Ali, Sufyan H. Siddiqui and the charming lady Gul Afshan. The whole vibe of the event was warm and friendly. For Bloggers it is an added bonus when the Company mingles warmly with the attendees. It instantly breaks the ice and gets the event going. Thumbs up to the Team Oriflame for making us feel so good 🙂 🙂
Team Oriflame Sufyan and Fahad
After all the Bloggers arrived, GulAfshan showed us the Oriflame clap and asked us to join in. It was a fun activity to do. Afterwards, Sufyan started the presentation where he told us a little bit about the company and its ideals. The Major things that I got to know were that it is a 50 years old company with its branches spread out in 63 countries. It has less chemicals in their products, they do not test on animals and are cruelty free. They follow direct instructions from Sweden. They claim that their products are well suited for the South East Asian skins. Currently 12,000 consultants are presently working with Oriflame all over Pakistan.
Most importantly they follow the direct selling method. They believe in the word of mouth selling technique. They are not interested in showcasing their products on shelves in different stores.
After the presentation we had a fun Q/A session, where some Bloggers asked some really grilling questions but I must say Fahad allayed their queries and eased all the confusions 🙂
We all got to try the different beauty products laid out for our testing at the Beauty station. We made fun videos and had fun trying and testing out the products. Afterwards we had scrumptious Hi-Tea and lots of fun chit-chat with our Blogger buddies and the Oriflame Team 🙂 All of us also got to give mini interviews at the event.
Yummy snacks to savorBy the end of the event we were given a goody bag filled with some awesome Oriflame goodies.

Overall this was a fun Bloggers Meetup and the event was managed splendidly by the Oriflame Team. Special thanks to Sufyan, Fahad and Gul Afshan for organizing an awesome event. Just a friendly suggestion to the company though, as I believe communication is the key to success. For next time DO see to it that the invites are sent well in time and do follow-up. That way you will have more Blogger attendees and your event will be a resounding success 🙂
Best of Luck to Oriflame Pakistan for all their future endeavors 🙂
