Recently, on a hot sunny afternoon, some Karachi Beauty Bloggers were invited for the launch of Bio-Oil. Bakhtawar who is fondly known as Jee Bee from the Blog Seethegalmworld was kind enough to invite and gather us all for the event. THANK YOU Jee Bee <3 The event was held at Pranzo which is a quiet and cosy fine dining restaurant. We had to reach the venue at 3:30 pm but due to crazy traffic jams I reached around 3:45 pm. Upon reaching I spotted some You-tubers and my fellow Bloggers/You-tubers Zenia from the Blog peplumsandpetunias and Anushae from the blog Anushaesays.com already present there. After a short while we were joined by our other Blogger buddies 🙂
On to the event, let’s talk about the positives first: Bi-Oil has finally launched in Pakistan through the Distributors Muller and Phipps Pvt Ltd. Before, people used to order directly from abroad or other grey channels to get this product. The good thing is that it is now available locally in different shops. It’s price ranges from Rs. 1200/ to Rs. 2000/ Miss Meher who is the Business Development Manager of the Company Muller and Phipps Pvt Ltd, who are also the distributors of Bio-Oil in Pakistan, told us a little bit about the product Bio-Oil and its uses. Bio-Oil is a specialist skin care oil that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch-marks and uneven skin-tone. Miss Meher pointed out that it is known to improve 80% the appearance of stretch marks. Bio-Oil is a combination of plant extracts and vitamins. The formula has a breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil which makes the oils formula non-greasy and light. Scars and stretch marks coupled with uneven skin tone are a major cause for a person’s low self-confidence. And if the said skin conditions can be improved by using Bio-Oil, then that is just amazing. After the introduction of Bio-oil, we were introduced to some activities that were planned for us. These included use of mood cards to show our reaction to different feelings. It was a fun short session.
ACTIVITY WITH MOOD CARDS
Maliha writing her name on the whiteboard to introduce herself 🙂
We also had a Q/A session where the host posed different questions to us regarding scars, stretch-marks and pigmentation. Questions like ” Do you like scars”? and ” How to heal inner scars”? were a bit uncomfortable for some of us present there.
Maliha Rao PBS Admin answering questions.
Me listening intently to the question.
“How do you heal inside scars”? Hmm….
Now it’s your turn to answer the question Jee Bee 😉
HERE COMES THE HI-TEA
At the end of the event we were served scrumptious Hi-Tea items, which we all thoroughly enjoyed and devoured. Yummy pizza, crispy deep-fried prawns, bite-sized sandwiches, mini burgers, succulent chicken wings…OH! My mouth is still salivating while writing all this down 😉 To wash all the yummy food down, we were served tall and chilled glasses of mint lemonade…utter heaven <3
We were also given beautifully wrapped giveaway baskets which included a soft shawl from Nishat linen, two 60ml bottles of Bio-Oil( I shall be doing a Giveaway soon with one of the bottles ) and a USB containing all information on Bio-Oil.
BTS OF THE EVENT
Here is a little BTS from the Bio-Oil event. Enjoy 🙂 🙂
Fellow Beauty Bloggers <3
Me and Zenia…Let’s take a selfie 😉
Over all it was a fun event which to me was more of a get together of Beauty Bloggers then a proper product launch. It would have been more knowledgable for us, if there was more light shed upon the product. Also the event started a bit late and although almost all the Bloggers had arrived, the picture booth and other things were still setting up. If all this had been dealt with before the arrival of guests, the event would have progressed more smoothly and everything would have looked more professional. Nevertheless, I had fun chit chatting with my fellow Bloggers and apart from these glitches, everything else was handled pretty well 🙂
Special thank you to Jee Bee for inviting us and taking such good care of us all <3
Hope you enjoyed the post. I shall be sharing my thoughts on the product after its usage.
