I had been holding on to my must have M.A.C products to buy list for some time now, I thought that on my next trip to a foreign country I shall indulge in some M.A.C shopping madness 😉 But God was generous to me. My husband had to go for a course to America and I thought why not ask my Hubby to get me some make-up goodies from abroad, albeit a bit apprehensively, I handed him my list with no expectations, as he has never taken me to Sephora 🙁 yet. Anyways I do have to give him the credit for getting almost everything on my list and that also very happily 🙂
So, in today’s post I shall be sharing with you all what my hubby got for me from M.A.C and Sephora.
M.A.C GOODIES!!!
I asked for some pretty basic things, which I AM SURE I am the LAST beauty blogger on earth to own finally…:p They are:
- M.A.C FIX PLUS
Thankfully I already owned M,A,C Fix plus and LOVE it to the max. This is a cult favorite amongst Beauty Bloggers, MUAs, Professional makeup artists and so on. It makes the skin look beautiful by melting the powders into the skin. The result is that the skin looks fresh and dewy without the caked up effect. Even for eye-shadows which need a little bit of pop or shine when applied wet, this gives a foiled effect. A must have for any make-up lovers bag.
2. M.A.C 224 BLENDING BRUSH
To achieve a well blended eye make-up look one needs good blending brushes and technique 🙂 Blending brushes are absolute necessary to attain the perfect look. And that is where this brush comes in handy. I never owned this eye blending brush. But I am happy I have this now with me to blend all the harsh edges and soften up my eye crease. Really looking forward to using this for my eye looks 🙂
3. M.A.C 217 Blending Brush
Another one of those essential crease blending brushes the M.A.C 217 brush it is. Love the shape of it. The brush is very soft and perfect for my crease.
4. M.A.C LIP PENCIL in SOAR
I got the CAITLYN JENNER edition of the lip pencil in the shade SOAR. This is a cult classic shade. It can be worn on its own or can be paired with multiple lipsticks. The color looks very flattering on multiple skin tones. It is gorgeous brownish pink shade.
5. M.A.C PAINT POT in SOFT OCHRE
An excellent eye primer/base for making the eye-shadow last all day long without creasing. M.A.C Pro Long-wear Paint Pot in the shade soft ochre is an excellent eye-base. The color neutralises the darkness on the eye lids and can be worn on its own too.
5. M.A.C EYE-SHADOW in NYLON FROST
I got this particular eye-shadow on a friends recommendation. It is a beautiful shiny frosty eye-shadow shade which is perfect for that pop of color on the eye lid or even if worn on its own.
6. M.A.C LIPSTICK in MEHR
M.A.C lipstick in the shade MEHR is a pretty nude-y pink shade. This is an everyday wear kind of shade. I was on the fence as whether to purchase this for myself or not. But after much contemplation I finally succumbed to temptation 😉
7. M.A.C LIPSTICK in PERSISTENCE
M.A.C Lipstick in the shade persistence is a classic brown shade that gives me the 90’s super model vibe 😉 Though as my lips are pigmented the color comes off a bit dark on my lips. Shall try with a lip primer. Anyways this is a gorgeous brown colored lipstick that looks great paired with smoky eyes or even if worn on its own 🙂

SEPHORA GIFTS
My Sephora list was very teeny tiny. I basically had mercy on my hubby and did not want him to feel too over whelmed by my list, also I had to keep my options open for THE NEXT TIME 😉 I am sure you guys know what I mean….hehehe
Anyways, I basically got two things from Sephora. They are:
- BOBBI BROWN LIP PENCIL in ROSE
I read about the Bobbi Brown Lip pencil in the shade Rose some months back in a Beauty magazine. The magazine claimed that this lip pencil was a beautiful natural looking color to compliment our desi skin tones. Hence I had to have it as I am forever in the quest to search for nude pink shades that would compliment my medium skin tone. And I am happy to have this with me. This pencil gives the lips a beautiful rose-y pink flush of color, totally natural and pretty <3
2. VICTOR and ROLF FLOWER BOMB PERFUME HAIR MIST
I love perfumes and most importantly I like to smell good ALL the time. Bad body odor to me is a HUGE turn off. Anyways Victor and Rolf flower Bomb perfume is an extremely popular fragrance. While reading Cosmopolitan magazine some time back, I stumbled upon this article where they discussed all about best perfumes etc. There I saw this particular hair mist being discussed in all its glory and I instantly jotted the name down. And voila! now its in my stash. The fragrance is sexy yet sophisticated. Love this hair mist.
