FEBRUARY FAVORITES :)

I can’t believe that already two months of the New Year have gone by in a jiffy. And it is already March 2016. Hola my lovelies 🙂 I had been busy a lot lately and couldn’t take time out to blog 🙁 But after a two months hiatus let’s get back on track and let you in on what have been my Favorite products of the last couple of months. These products are the one’s that I have reached to mostly even when I travelled to Thailand two months back.

  • 1. MAC LIPSTICK PLUMFUL

Love this lipstick so much. I really like the texture and color of this lipstick. This is a lustre finish and very comfortable on the lips. Non drying and staying power is pretty good. Can be easily worn in the Day time.

  • 2. ESSENCE COSMETICS SHEER AND SHINE LIPSTICK ‘ LIKE A PRINCESS ‘

Essence Cosmetics never ceases to amaze me. It is a very trendy and budget friendly brand and from where you can find a lot of useful makeup which hardly disappoints. I bought this lipstick in the month of December and when I swatched it, I instantly liked it. This is called a sheer and shine lipstick, but don’t be fooled, this delivers quite a punch. It has a very nice formula which can be best described as a marriage between a tinted balm and a lipstick. It feels extremely moisturizing on the lips. Tastes awesome 😉 something like a berry. Leaves a sexy tint on the lips. Very pleasantly surprised by this product 🙂 I wore this lipstick almost every single day in the past two months 🙂

  • 3. BENEFIT COSMETICS HIGHLIGHTER ‘ MOON BEAM ‘

Benefit Cosmetics Moon beam is a beautiful golden apricot perfector. I have used this Highlighter more then High beam which is another awesome glam Highlighter from Benefit, more so because I feel this is a very subtle and diffused highlighter which gives the impression of a candle glow effect on the skin. It is not harsh at all or in your face kind of a highlighter and that is what I like the best about it. Sometimes, one doesn’t want to glam up and just wants a really natural and subtle look and glow, that is where this comes. It blends beautifully and is extremely build-able. One can even use a powder highlighter on top of this. Also, as you grow older mostly the pores become enlarged and this highlighter doesn’t accentuate that. Trust me. I have noticeable pores on my cheeks and nose. And it never accentuates it. Love this gem <3

  • 4. TARTE SCULPTOR

Sculpting or contouring is all the rage nowadays. For beginner this sculptor by Tarte is very handy and good to use. I personally like this a lot as it is very easy to use and blends pretty seamlessly. Also, one can build on the product coverage. You can set this with a powder contour.

Tarte the Sculptor

Swatches of from Left to Right: MAC Plumful, Benefit Moon beam and Tarte the Sculptor.

  • THE BODYSHOP BLUSH IN THE SHADE CORAL
The Bodyshop Blush in the shade Coral.

Another favorite product from one of my Favorite brands. The Bodyshop baked blush in the shade coral is perfect for all year long. Come winter or summer. It has two shades in the pan. One is a coraly pink and the other is a pearlescent shade which can be used for highlighting. Now it can be worn both ways, either alone or mixed to give cheeks a healthy flush of color with a glow. Absolute gorgeous shade of blush and one of favorites 🙂

Swatch from Left to Right coral shade, highlighting shade and both blended.

  • 5. CLARINS BLUSH IN THE SHADE CORAL
Clarins blush in Coral

My eldest sister gifted this blush to me and I have had a love affair with this blush ever since <3 😉 This blush is so finely milled and looks so pretty on the skin. Not the usual Coral shade but more like a dusty Coral. I used this more in the day time and when my face needed a little pick me up. Because winters can make the skin sometimes look dull and grey. That is where this blush came in. I also like the brush that it comes with, perfect for carving out the cheekbones 🙂

  • 7. STAGE LINE COSMETICS TRANSPARENT POWDER

I bought this powder as I desperately needed a translucent powder. On the salesgirl’s insistance I gave in and bought it as I had no other option and time. I didn’t expect much from this product. But I really liked it on using it. I specifically used this for under eye baking and it looked super on me. This product is also great value for money as you get 60g of product 😮 which is quite A LOT. This powder has a bit of fragrance but it isn’t bothersome. You can purchase this also from justforgirls.pk for Rs.1350/- by applying my discount code J4GMC5 you can get a 5% discount.

  • ESSENCE LONGLASTING  LIP LINER IN PURELY ME

Swatch of the Essence Lip liner in Purely Me

Although this is a lip liner but I like to use this to rim my lower lash line to make my eyes pop. It doesn’t smudge and one doesn’t need to sharpen the tip of the liner. Multitasking liner which needs to be a staple in one’s makeup stash.

  • RIMMEL EYE PENCIL IN THE SHADE CHIANTI

Swatch of the Rimmel Eye pencil in Chianti

I have used this specific eye pencil so much and yet I don’t want to use this all up as it is such a unique shade of purple and brown and extremely flattering for someone who doesn’t have big eyes. Black kohl pencils can be too harsh at times for small eyed girls. As I medium sized eyes, I shy away from using black kohl because I feel it tends to make the eyes look small. My opinion entirely. Hence that is where this eye pencil comes. I like to use this below the lower lash line and sometimes for lining my upper lids. This is such a perfect shade for me. Doesn’t smudge and extremely long wearing.

  • LOREAL MYTHIC OIL

This is a true gem of a product. Depilex salon suggested me to use this after shower when the  hair is damp or even dry. This is an extremely light weight oil. Lightly fragranced. This is an absolute MUST for me to use after shower. My shower routine is in-complete without it. It controls frizz and adds shine to the hair.

  • HERBAL ESSENCES NAKED DRY SHAMPOO

I color my hair and add red low-lights in them. If I shampoo a lot my hair color goes off quite fast. Secondly, my hair roots get oily by the third day. To freshen my hair up I use this floral dry shampoo. This has a fresh floral scent and doesn’t leave a white cast on the hair.

So this rounds up my Favorites of the month blog post. Hope you guys enjoy it 🙂 Do leave a sweet comment or two. I appreciate it a lot.

Take care,

MAHA <3
