Its time for the monthly favorites girls 🙂 September was a month where I tried new products, some of which made it to my Favorites list. I am passionate about typing down my favorites and empties posts. These posts make me very excited as I get to talk about many products in a single post and I also like sharing with you guys my experience after using them.
Lets see which products made the cut the last month 😉
1. Giorgio Armani Si moisturizing perfumed body lotion.
I am OBSESSED with this perfume and anything or everything even remotely having the fragrance of this body lotion. Frankly I am more than obsessed, I can’t get over how much I am crazy for this perfume. It is infused with modern chypre and light musky wood scent. Sexy yet sophisticated and utterly captivating.
Though it is on the pricier side, but it is so worth it. The fragrance envelops your senses and stays for a long time. Compared to the perfume, which lasted on me forever this body lotion lasts for a good 5 to 6 hours on me. But its fragrance stays on your clothes even on the second day. Legit crazy obsessed with Si.
2. BOURJOIS PARIS 123 CC Cream
I am always on the hunt for a good CC or BB cream. I came across the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC cream and bought it on a whim. And I am glad I gave in to my whim This is a very good product. It is a 3 pigment color correction CC cream that targets various skin concerns like dark spots, redness and fatigue. It imparts a luminous complexion and smooth skin.
It has SPF15 in it and promises 24hr hydration ( not sure about that though ) I have worn this and one thing that I felt was my skin looked flawless and very smooth. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and looks beautiful and just like skin. The coverage is light to medium and you can go heavy or even just use sparingly. The ONLY thing with this product is that it moves around a bit on first application, So my tip would be to let the CC cream set and then go in with the powder products. Let it set first.
3. MAYBELLINE Age Rewind Concealer in Neutraliser
An oldie but a goodie, Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer has garnered a cult following and I am happy to be a part of that cult 😉This is by far my MOST favorite drugstore concealer to date. It is so light weight and gives such a flawless finish to the eyes and also to the skin. I love it so much that I have this in practically 3 to 4 shades.
Recently Karachi ( the city where I reside ) has been experiencing its second summer 😦 and it isso much so that It get unbearable. And in this sweltering heat if one has to wear makeup, that also in the day time..you guys can imagine the torture it would be. So, one such occasion arrived where I had to attend a lunch party all glammed up in the day time. Even the thought of applying foundation/BB/CC cream was too much for me. Hence I took out my age rewind concealer and went to town with this on my face. Voila! it fared pretty good. My skin looked like skin, very natural yet proper made up. It concealed my imperfections beautifully and did not even budge the whole time. Now whenever I need a little coverage and less makeup, I reach for this concealer 🙂
4. Essence eXtreme lasting eye pencil easy glide and waterproof 06 silky nude
I think I have found my perfect nude eye pencil. The essence eXtreme lasting eye pencil 06 silky nude is an easy glide, long-lasting waterproof eye pencil. This particular shade of nude is perfect for making the eyes look awake and big. I used to wear white eye pencil in my lower water line but since I purchased this nude eye pencil, I have not looked back. White eye pencil can look too stark and unreal at times. But this nude eye pencil looks really natural and lasts a very long time. The best part is that it does not smudge/transfer or bleed.
Very good value for money. Essence cosmetics make some of the best eye pencils, lip liners and mascaras out there.
5. Jordana COLOR XTEND EYELINER in BLACKOUT
I have been using the Jordana color xtend eyeliner in blackout for the longest time. In-fact it is the ONLY black eye pencil I use on my eyes. I like how the formula is super long-lasting and doesn’t irritate my eyes. It doesn’t smudge or budge. Doesn’t transfer and stays put all day long, no matter what.
It is super pigmented and matte black. Goes on smoothly in one application. Waterproof, jet black and comfortable wear. If I need to wear black eye liner, I always reach for this bad boy ❤
6. benefit the POREfessional
Benefit the POREfessional is another favorite product that I keep on reaching for. Specially in the summer time, when the skin is oozing out oil from our open pores, I reach for this primer to make my makeup stay put and look flawless all day long.
It is supposed to diminish the appearance of fine lines and large pores. Personally speaking, it works beautifully on my skin. I can see my skin looking poreless and much smoother. My makeup whilst using this primer looks smoother, there is less texture visible on my skin, makeup looks flawless and stays put for a very long time. It is light weight and translucent in color. On application, you can visibly see your pores smoothing out. It is a pore filling primer, great for combination or oily skin gals 🙂 Little goes a long way. With this primer, try to concentrate ONLY on the T zone.
7. COVER | FX CLEAR COVER INVISIBLE SUNSCREEN BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 30
Make sunscreen your best friend. Sun damage, amongst other factors is the number cause of ageing 😦 Hence it is best to start protecting your skin early on so that the skin stays supple, radiant and youthful later on in life. I make it a point of using a good sun block every day without fail. And I am always looking for some good SPF products to try out.
Cover | FX clear cover invisible sunscreen broad spectrum is my latest discovery which I am loving lately. It is a silky, smooth, light weight gel like formula which literally melts into the skin. The makeup goes on top like a dream. It has anti-oxidants from tomato extract which help to fight pollution, free radicals and sun damage. It can be used under or over makeup. An excellent product that works both as a sun block and a smooth base for makeup to glide on 🙂
8. HUDA BEAUTY Liquid Matte ICON
Huda Beauty liquid matte in the shade ICON has been on my lips this past month. I had to attend some parties and I wore this in ALL of those get-together. This has a thin, light weight formula, which darkens when it dries down. It doesn’t settle in lines or bleeds. The color pay off is opaque and usually one swipe is all you need for your lips.
My lips are pigmented, hence on me the color darkens to a burnt orange or brick shade. The staying power is very impressive and it doesn’t transfer or budge even after meals. Really impressed with the color pay-off and formula. I am even contemplating on buying some more lip shades from her range.
So there you have my September favorites. Hope you enjoyed reading this edition 🙂 Have you tried any of the above products? What are your thoughts on them?
