Aand we are finally just two months away from welcoming the New Year!! How exciting and a bit surreal too. Frankly this whole year has literally fast forwarded and I am just amazed at the pace of my life. I kind of like it and I kind of don’t. Pretty confusing. Right? But that’s the way it is right now. Anyways I am here to share with you all some of the products that I am digging into currently.
Lets start 🙂
1. Dessert For Your Face Red Velvet Rouge Hair Oil
So, I am a total lazy ass when it comes to hair oiling. I know the benefits of it and blah blah but still I don’t give my mane the required love and attention it deserves. All that changed when I got this hair oil in a giveaway from the PBS and Mizka Hair Master Class amongst other goodies. Frankly I was skeptical and did not even attempt at trying it out immediately. I had been experiencing hair fall for quite sometime now, so my maid suggested to why not try the oil and see if it helps. At her insistent pushing, I gave in and asked her to massage it in my hair. WONDERFUL. I felt wonderful. After applying this oil and keeping it for an hour, I washed my hair with my normal shampoo and ONLY applied conditioner on my ends.
And my hair felt so soft and manageable. I even saw less hair breakage. I have been using this hair oil religiously now. I usually apply this twice a week and let it sit for an hour or more. Then I shampoo my hair. I hardly need any conditioner or additional hair serum. I do sometimes use Loreal Mythic Oil on my damp hair after showering, but that’s optional.
I don’t know the actuall ingredient list but it does say on the bottle that it is packed with Vitamin E and other nutrients. Prepared with the magic of essential oils in an Olive Oil Base. I do know that OLIVE OIL is excellent for hair, body and even skin. If anyone is suffering from hair fall and dull, frizzy hair, do give this a try. It has seriously improved my hair condition.
It can be purchased online through their Facebook page. Another worth mentioning thing about this hair oil is that it is handmade by the owner’s mother. And the name of the brand is Food for your face by Firefly.
2. BATH & BODY WORKS SHEER COTTON & LEMONADE fine fragrance mist | 236ml/8fl oz
So, unfortunately this is a discontinued product. Sorry gals, but I still got to share this with you all. I didn’t realize that it is no longer there. While looking for a link for this post, I saw that this is not available any longer 😦 I am seriously bummed. I really like this so much and was even thinking of re-purchasing. Oh Poor me! Anyhow this has been my everyday staple since I got this a few months back. My husband got this and some other body mists from Dubai.
I simply love its fragrance. It stays on your clothes for a good while. It smells lovely yet comforting. It doesn’t smell lemonade-y at all. It is sweet and yummy but definitely not over powering. Perfect for everyday wear.
3. SOAP & GLORY A GREAT KISSER lip moisture balm
Haven’t kissed my man whilst this on…Hmm need to do that 😉 I had this moisture balm in my stash for quite some time. I don’t quite remember where I got this from or maybe I ordered? Can’t place it. But recently when I ran out of my trusty Body Shop Lip Balm, I whisked this out. I got to say, I liked it on first use and have been loving it since.
It is an awesome formula for dry winter months. I got this in the flavor just peachy. It smells like peaches and covers the lips completely. It is a sticky formula but it’s not goopy. My lips are in utter bliss and feel yummy and look juicy 😉 Over all a very good product indeed.
4. ESSENCE Sheer and Shine Lipstick Like a Princess 13
A while back Essence Cosmetics launched their Sheer & Shine Lipsticks. I grabbed myself Number 13 Like a Princess from the range. It is a bright watermelon pink shade that looks gorgeous on the lips. The texture is like a balm and stains the lips a bit too. I have been using this lipstick quite a lot and loving how bright and awake it makes my face look.
It smells like a candy and looks gorgeous on the lips. It is one of those colors that can be worn on its own, without any other makeup. LOVE this ❤
5. RIMMEL KATE SCULPTING PALETTE 002 CORAL GLOW
This small travel friendly, compact palette is my everyday staple. I like the simple yet sturdy packaging of this palette. This houses a blusher, bronzer/contour and highlighter. The only downside is that the powders won’t show on deeper skin tones. The brand should come up with another palette that could cater to deep skinned girls.
I personally like the highlighter and blusher in the palette. I like matte bronzers and contours hence I am not a big fan of the contour powder in this palette as it contains micro shimmer particles. But the blush and highlight are amazing. The highlight is popping and very finely milled. Not chunky at all. The blush is beautiful. It has tiny shimmer particles, that add a subtle glow to the cheeks. Looks beautiful ❤ Frankly the swatches don’t do any justice to the actual beauty of the palette. Try testing it on the face, before buying this.
I hope you liked this months edition of my favorites 🙂 Do share with me some of your favorite products. I would love to hear from you guys ❤
