In a sea of drugstore beauty products and companies coming up with new and exciting makeup releases, one gets super confused as to which product to buy and which to let go. Specially, when amongst all that is released every few months, some products get lots of hype and others don’t. Sometimes the hype is real and well worth it and other times its just THAT. A HYPE. Nothing else.
I have tried and tested a couple of wonderful beauty products in my 3 years of beauty blogging and some of which have become my staple products. These products in my opinion are well worth the hype.
Read on to know some awesome points about them 🙂
1. MAYBELLINE BABY SKIN INSTANT PORE ERASER PRIMER
Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser is a very good dupe to the benefit porefessional primer. I love both these primers and use both lovingly. The Maybelline primer instantly makes the pores look smaller and gives a smooth and silky base for the makeup to adhere to the skin and glide on effortlessly.
A very affordable and good drugstore option for oily and combination skin girls 🙂 The best part is that it is fragrance free and non-comedogenic. It is very light weight and colorless. This primer instantly blurs the pores and mattifies the skin. I usually concentrate using this on my T-Zone. In my opinion it is definitely worth the hype 😉
2. MAYBELLINE INSTANT AGE REWIND CONCEALER | $9.99
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer is my favorite drugstore concealer to date. I love this so much that I have kept backups of these. It is a favorite among all major beauty influencers and I would say it is definitely well worth the hype.
Firstly it is super affordable costing $9.99 only. Light weight and cake free formula. Blends beautifully and seamlessly into the skin. Instantly brightens the under eye area. Conceals the dark circles. On my under eye area it does not crease at all.
The formula is infused with goji berry and haloxyl. Try it yourself to see how awesome this product is 🙂
3. REVLON COLORBURST BALM STAINS
Okay so this stuff is old but I find them to be comparable in-fact better than the Clinique chubby sticks. Somehow the formula of the Revlon Color burst Balms are more moisturizing and long wearing then the clinique ones.
These come in 8 wearable and highly flattering shades. The formula is like a balm that leaves behind a sexy tint on the lips. The staying power is very good. It does transfer but doesn’t vanish from the lips. The color ranges from almost nude to dark purples, maroons and reds. Excellent to wear all year round.
4. RIMMEL STAY MATTE PRESSED POWDER in TRANSLUCENT
If you have been reading my blog for some time now, you would know my absolute trust in and love for this powder. I can’t stop loving this, seriously it is so finely milled and sits on my skin beautifully. The formula is light weight and non cake-y.
Somehow my pores look smaller whilst wearing this powder on my face. The only downside with this powder is its cheap packaging. I don’t like the packaging at all. Also there is no mirror with the powder. Otherwise this is another much-loved drugstore product in the beauty sphere. And its well worth it 🙂
5. ESSENCE LONG LASTING EYE PENCIL
I like Essence Cosmetics. There are so many of their products that are well worth the hype. Honorable mentions: eyeliner, mascaras, lip liners, matt effect lipsticks and highlight 01 to name a few.
Their extreme long-lasting gel eye pencils are super cool. I like how they are true to their name. The formula is very long lasting and smudge proof. The color payoff is splendid. Doesn’t budge or moves around at all. I have to manually remove the eyeliner and if it is not removed properly, you can still see the last remnants of the color peeking through.
So there you have my 5 current favorite products worth the hype. Do you think these are worth the hype?
