I had been MIA from my Blog and other social media for the last 2 weeks or so, due to a mild health issue…very BAD experience BUT I am glad that I am back now 🙂 In today’s post I shall be sharing five of my current favorite skin care obsessions 😉

- GARNIER SKINACTIVE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER
My first brush with the Garnier Skinactive Micellar Cleansing Water was not fruitful. I remember being quite unimpressed by the whole thing. But as the clean and cool winds of spring turned into hot and humid whips of warm air, I needed a cleanser which was not heavy or cream based. Hence, I again thought of giving this a shot and surprisingly, I quite liked it 🙂
It is my current skincare obsession because:
- Easy to use.
- Doesn’t spill or leak.
- Very gentle, yet effective.
- Affordable.
- Can be used to remove eye makeup.
- Lightweight formula.
- Refreshing.
- Works perfectly on my combination skin type.
- Doesn’t dry out my skin.
You can purchase this easily from any department store or Garnier kiosk.
2. PIXI GLOW TONIC
If you haven’t heard of the PIXI GLOW TONIC then I assume you must be living under the rock or on planet Mars. No offense to anyone BUT this baby is THE skin genie that practically everyone has been talking about in the beauty community… and for good reason. I have emptied 3 bottles of this baby and I don’t see myself stopping any sooner or maybe EVER.
This is my skin care obsession because:
- It gently exfoliates skin.
- It has Ginseng, Aloe and Glycolic acid.
- Skin looks more even and bright.
- Gentle enough to use every day.
I am legit obsessed with this Toner. My skin has become more radiant after using this. Whenever I become lazy and stop using this toner, I can see my skin looking dull and weird.
3. KLAIRS FRESHLY JUICED VITAMIN C DROPS
Another skin care product that has vastly helped with my skin texture and suppleness is the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drops. Every morning after I wash and tone my skin, I apply two drops of these Vitamin C serum and my skin is instantly infused with a natural glow that is not oily or slimy but a beautiful healthy glow as if I have run a marathon. And it looks so natural, lit from within glow. The most interesting part is that, the glow-y look stays put throughout the day 🙂 I have even noticed that the makeup and skin care creams go on much smoother on top of this serum.
Skin care obsession number three this is. Why?
- Fast absorbing.
- Light weight formula.
- Contains Pure Vitamin C.
- Centella asiatica extracts.
- Yuzu Extracts.
- Grape fruit extracts.
- Makes skin super glow-y.
- Skin is more supple and smooth with continuous use.

I can go on and on about the benefits I have witnessed while using this Vitamin C drops, that good is this product.
4. MISSHA TIME REVOLUTION NIGHT REPAIR BORABIT AMPOULE
Another skincare favorite this month has to be the MISSHA TIME REVOLUTION night repair science activator BORABIT AMPOULE. Phew, that’s a mouthful. But well worth it. I had heard such great reviews on this ampoule that I couldn’t wait and ordered it for myself. This is said to be a close dupe to the Estee Lauder Night repair serum. As I had previously used the Estee Lauder one, my curiosity got the better of me and I ordered this right away to see what the hype is all about? And I can tell you that I wasn’t disappointed.
This ampoule is to be used at night-time before the application of a serum. It is adviced to be used just enough and not a lot. I use this every night after cleansing, toning, exfoliating my skin. I find this to be a close match to the Estee Lauder Night repair serum.
- This ampoule has a thick but not gloppy consistency.
- Absorbs quickly into the skin.
- A little goes a long way.
- Skin texture has improved vastly since its use.
- Visible suppleness and smoothness in the skin.
- Doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.
For a fraction of the price compared to the Estee Lauder night repair serum, the Missha Time revolution ampoule is a good alternative. One that I am totally crushing over right now.
With the goodness of Kaolin, Bentonite and Zinc Oxide to name a few, the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque has been my go to favorite mask since the advent of hot and humid summers. In 10 minutes, the skin gets a much-needed pick me up. The skin looks clean, smooth, bright and refreshed.
This green mask sucks all the dirt, oil and grime from the skin and makes the pores look smaller. The skin looks matte and refreshed. A must for the hot summer months.
