Get Ready With Me For a Day Event

Hola ladies. I hope you all are in best of health 🙂 I am here today, writing about a simple GRWM ( get ready with me) for a late afternoon and early evening event. Some time back we were invited to the launch of Filorga Skincare line. It was a fun event. I always look forward to these launches, as I get to meet my fellow Beauty Bloggers and its good for social net working.

I shall be sharing in this post with you all the products I used to create my look. As it was hot and humid, I opted for a simple yet fresh look with bright lips. Hope you guys like it 🙂

Without much further ado, let’s get into the details…

FACE BASE

PREP and PRIME

I ALWAYS start off with a clean face. For prepping my skin I am currently using the Olay Total Effects moisturiser with SPF 15. For lips I use the Luscious cosmetics Hydrating Lip Primer. For my eyes I am nowadays using the Body Shop under eye pomegranate serum. I let these sit on my skin for a good five to seven minutes, for them to properly sink in and then proceed on to priming my skin.

PRIMER

My current go to primer is the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. I apply the primer on the usual areas on the face where I get oily the most, that is the T Zone. I let the primer sit on the skin for five minutes and then proceed on to my base makeup.

CORRECTOR

To cover my dark under eye circles I use the Magicosmetix magic orange cream concealer corrector.

FOUNDATION

This foundation is my favorite right now. Specially for hot summer days, this is a great foundation. It is not heavy on the skin and stays put mostly, through sweat and heat. Massarat Misbah Foundation in the shade Beige is my go to foundation these days. Little goes a long way. For making my foundation look beautiful and seamless I use the Real Techniques expert face brush and then the beauty blender.

CONCEALER

For under eye concealing I use two concealers. The NARS radiant creamy concealer in the shade custard I use directly under my eyes. To further brighten the under eye area I use the Maybelline age rewind concealer in the shade light just below the first concealer. I blend these two with a damp beauty blender.

SET

Now if I am not cream contouring AND if its super hot, I tend to set my base with a MAC Fix plus and also the Urban Decay de-slick makeup setting spray. What this does is sets the base beautifully and further extends the wear time of your makeup just a little 😉

FACE POWDER

I LOVE the ABH Contour kit. For me, it’s a multi purpose kit. I use this to highlight, contour, bronze and also for my eye makeup. It’s so perfect and versatile. For my under eye setting I use the banana shade from the ABH kit. And for my over all face, I use the slightly peach=y shade from the kit.

EYES

EYE PRIMER

On my eyes I use the Smashbox 24 Hrs Photo Finish Shadow Primer. This is a very good primer for the eyes. It is a bit tacky which makes the shadow adhere properly to the eyes. I use a small amount and blend it evenly. Then I set it with a matte neutral powder.

EYE SHADOW

For eye shadow I used the ABH contour kit. I built up my crease by using the lighter contour shades. On the outer edge I used the dark contour shade. For my lid area I used the matte highlighter from the kit.

EYE LINER

I lined my top lash line with the Massarat Misbah perfect wear eye liner in the shade gold stone <3 For my lower lash line I used the Essence Cosmetics lip pencil. I also lined my water line with Essence Cosmetics eye pencil in the shade white.

For my lid area, I added Sweet Face sparkling eye liner.

To smoke out my lower lash line I again used the same shades from the ABH Contour kit.

BROWS and MASCARA

For brows I used the trusty Essence Cosmetics make me brow. And for mascara I used the Charlotte Tilbury Full fat lashes mascara.

BRONZER

To bronze up my face I used the Too faced chocolate soleil bronzer.

BLUSH

My blush was Massarat Misbah Stay on Blusher in the shade Gleam.

HIGHLIGHTER

My trusted and most loved highlighter palette the Hourglass Ambient lighting palette gives the most beautiful ” lit from within ” glow to the face. I used this on the high points of my face, inner corners of my eyes and brow bone.

LIPS

My lip combo was the Essence cosmetics lip liner in the shade 02, which I used to line and fill my lips with. On top of the lip liner I applied the Balm cosmetics Meet Matte Hughes in the shade Doting.

And finally to set my face so that the makeup doesn’t budge or crease, I again spritz my face with the MAC Fix plus and Urban Decay de-slick setting spray.
